Despite their far-flung hometowns and varied backgrounds, one thing is certain. This new student class is talented. And smart. With an average ACT score of 27.8 and nearly 90 valedictorians and salutatorians (you know who you are), this class is serious about its academics. A quarter of the group will be the first in their families to attend college.
Compared to the last three new-student classes, more plan to work while enrolled at S&T (83 percent), have already chosen a specific major (80 percent) and plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in four years or less (68 percent).
