The Miners have spoken. The winner of the 2014 Miner Madness is Street Painting! This annual tradition where St. Pat’s Board alumni turn downtown Rolla’s Pine Street green for the annual parade was voted Best Ever. Where else in the world will you see St. Pat celebrated like this?

Here’s how Miner Madness worked:

An S&T twist on seasonal basketball brackets, Miner Madness pits two St. Pat’s traditions against each other. Choose the tradition you think best exemplifies St. Pat’s in Rolla for each pairing. After making your own bracket, return to the page during voting and see how you stack up against the final results.

Voting is open to everyone. Vote early and often. There is no cap on the amount of times you can vote. Each round will take place during a certain time and date.

Voting for each round will open at 9 a.m. and remain open until the next morning. The voting schedule will be as follows:

  •  St. Pat’s 16: Monday, March 3
  •  Best Ever Eight: Tuesday, March 4
  •  Shamrock Semi-finals: Wednesday, March 5
  •  Green Championships: Thursday, March 6

Sorry you weren’t able to vote, Jim. It could be that at that moment, the program was tallying up the results.
